Pet Paradise Entry-Level Grooming Training Program

Description

We are excited to offer this comprehensive, entry-level Grooming Training Program through the Paragon Grooming School. 

The program will take approximately 15 to 17 weeks to complete.

• The first six weeks provide foundational skills in anatomy, emergency first aid, nutrition, coat types, and prep skills.
• Later in the training program, topics such as body contour trims, guard comb trims and stylized leg trims will be discussed.
• Breed trims are taught post-graduation through continuing education provided by the grooming director.

Those selected to join the Pet Paradise Entry-Level Grooming Training Program will receive: the support of a Paragon Mentor, access to the Paragon Community via social media, a Pet Paradise coach, and the support of a Pet Paradise manager that has previously completed Level 1 of the Grooming Training Program.
Students will also receive a book bundle, course work, and a starter tool kit.

During the training program, students will have the job title of "Groomer-in-Training". The starting pay for this position is $13.50 per hour.

Requirements:
- Previously employed with Pet Paradise for 6+ months
- 18 years or older 
- Available to work full-time (~40 hours weekly) 
- Provide a letter of recommendation from both your Resort Manager and Regional Manager (must upload under the 'Resume' section and the 'Cover Letter' section of the application) 

The last day to submit an application is to Monday, February 12th. 

All applications will be reviewed by our Grooming selection committee. If selected, you will be asked to sign a Grooming School Agreement.
